We talk about it every class, technique. The concept is to be able to execute a self-defense or pattern properly. The idea being that you don't need to rely on strength or something else but simply the movement. This is easier said than done. If a technique is executed properly size and muscle have no bearing. So when you practice at home or in the club, it is not about speed or power it is about the technique. It is the flow. Water is the best metaphor for this. Flow like water and embrace the nature of water. Water is strong enough to break rock yet also soft at the same time. Water doesn't seek to overpower but flow. Flow through and around your opponent with technique not overpower and dominate an opponent. Stay happy and have a great Family Day weekend. Happy Valentine's Day!
